Who We Are At the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia, everything we do centers around one purpose – improving our world through the power of philanthropy. On a fundamental level, we do that through managing funds held in trust, donated by individuals, organizations and businesses. Most funds are donor-advised funds, similar to savings accounts. These funds are pooled for investment purposes and their income is used to make grants for a wide variety of charitable purposes. But our goals expand far beyond managing funds. We desire to strengthen the communities we serve in Gwinnett, Northeast Georgia and beyond by providing leadership, addressing community needs and assisting individuals and organizations with their charitable giving. For 2026, our grant cycle will focus on healthcare with an emphasis on mental health, which includes, but is not limited to: Mental health counseling and therapy services Community-based mental health clinics Crisis intervention and suicide prevention programs Substance use and addiction recovery programs Behavioral health services for children, youth, and families Programs addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, or PTSD Mental health support for vulnerable or underserved populations Integrated physical and mental healthcare models Peer support, group therapy, and support networks Mental health education, awareness, and stigma reduction initiatives Access to care initiatives (including telehealth or mobile services) Workforce development or capacity-building efforts that expand access to mental healthcare We strongly believe in partnering with our nonprofits – because strong, healthy nonprofits equal a strong, healthy community. From grants to educational programs and more, the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia strives to provide local nonprofits with the resources they need to thrive.Eligibility
