Overview
The CFMT Support and Enhancement Grants provide financial assistance to licensed childcare providers in Tennessee, enabling them to apply for a minimum of $4,000 for equipment, program enhancements, and consultancy services. Additionally, participants in the Child Care Certificate Program can request an extra $1,000. Agencies in economically distressed counties identified by the Governor are also eligible for further funding, supporting early childhood education in Tennessee.
Grant Funding
ChildcareTennessee administers a variety of grants to child care programs licensed with the Tennessee Department of Human Services to support early childhood education in Tennessee.
Programs can apply for items in three separate categories:
- Equipment
- Program enhancements and supplies
- Coaches and consultants
- Support and Enhancement Grants - Child Care Certificate Program
Support and Enhancement Grants allow any childcare provider licensed with the Tennessee Department of Human Services to apply for at least $4,000 to enhance equipment, programs, including supplies, and consultants, and coaches.
Programs participating in the Child Care Certificate Program (CCCP) are eligible to apply for an additional $1,000.
Child care agencies in economically distressed counties identified in by the Governor’s office may apply for an additional $1,000. These counties are Lake, Hardeman, Perry, Clay, Bledsoe, Scott, Hancock and Cocke.
