Overview

Background

Each year, the Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion awards Com­pet­i­tive Grants to sup­port orga­ni­za­tions address­ing impor­tant com­mu­ni­ty needs in Teton Coun­ty, Wyoming. Fund­ing deci­sions are made by a vol­un­teer Grants Com­mit­tee com­prised of ded­i­cat­ed com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers with a range of inter­ests and experience.
**Guidelines
**
Com­pet­i­tive Grants sup­port a range of non­prof­it work address­ing the diverse needs and inter­ests of our com­mu­ni­ty. Appli­ca­tions from eli­gi­ble orga­ni­za­tions serv­ing Teton Coun­ty, Wyoming are wel­come. Appli­cants may request fund­ing to sup­port new or exist­ing pro­grams, cap­i­tal projects, equip­ment pur­chas­es, capac­i­ty build­ing, or gen­er­al oper­a­tions. Requests that have been pre­vi­ous­ly fund­ed by the Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion or request­ed with­in the past 12 months may not be resubmitted.
Available Funds
The Com­pet­i­tive Grants pro­gram typ­i­cal­ly awards a total of $650,000 – 750,000 per year to eli­gi­ble orga­ni­za­tions serv­ing Teton Coun­ty, Wyoming.
Appli­cants may request $3,000 – 30,000. Pro­pos­als may be par­tial­ly funded.

Eligibility

* Appli­cant must be a 501(c)(3) non­prof­it, gov­ern­ment enti­ty, or oth­er IRS-rec­og­nized char­i­ta­ble orga­ni­za­tion serv­ing Teton Coun­ty, Wyoming OR be fis­cal­ly-spon­sored by an enti­ty that meets these requirements.
* Grant funds must be used exclu­sive­ly in Teton Coun­ty, Wyoming.

Ineligibility

* Competitive Grants requires that:
* Funds may not be used for debt retire­ment or reli­gious or polit­i­cal activities.
* Applicant’s work must not be pri­mar­i­ly focused on influ­enc­ing legislation.
* Grant funds may not be used for a project or train­ing that has already been completed.
