2024 Action for Impact Grants Program

The Community Foundation’s signature annual grants competition supports a variety of initiatives benefiting Florida Keys residents. “Action for Impact” grants range from $5,000 to $20,000 and aim for tangible, positive change by September 2025.
The panel of community members who will be reviewing the funding requests will be a diverse group of individuals from all parts of the county. They will be looking for the following:

* The necessity for this important, unduplicated work, because it truly makes a difference for the residents of the Florida Keys.
* Hands-on impact that will make a difference for our residents now and in the future. As available funds are limited, priority is given to active efforts yielding immediate results over research or planning. For instance, funding may prioritize planting new corals over studying coral damage, or providing food directly to those in need over hosting nutrition seminars.

Note it is a 10 month grant period: December 1  through September 30. All grant spending must be done and reported on during this time period.

Eligibility

* Only 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organizations in good standing with the IRS are eligible to apply.
* Grants must serve the Florida Keys exclusively.
* Only one application per organization is permitted.

Ineligibility

* Grants may not be used for a structure or a capital campaign.
* If you have received a grant from the Community Foundation, you must be in compliance with grant requirements and reporting or your application will not be considered.
