Overview

Through strategic grants, the Community Foundation funds nonprofits that meet the areas of greatest need in Frederick County. These needs are identified in The Frederick County Human Needs Assessment Report. Currently, we are funding high impact projects that address: Supporting families with childrenPreparing for a growing aging populationResponding to Substance Use Disorder (SUD). In 2022 an updated human needs assessment, conducted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, revealed additional areas of need, including: Supporting access to affordable housingAddressing mental health needsAlleviating disparities in service delivery The focus of strategic grant funding may change as new data becomes available.

Eligibility
