Workforce Development Grant The Workforce Development grant program supports professional development programs, scholarship opportunities for job training, continuing education for career advancement, and organizations that offer various workforce development programs to the public. Special emphasis will be placed on programs serving people with disabilities, high school juniors and seniors, non-traditional students, nonprofit professionals, and skilled professionals in fields that serve vulnerable populations in our community. APPLICATION MAXIMUM: $7,500

Eligibility

In general, to be eligible for grants from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, you must serve residents of Wicomico, Worcester, and/or Somerset Counties in Maryland and be an IRS designated 501c3 Nonprofit, a governmental unit with a charitable program, a public or private school, or a place of worship providing non-sectarian community program(s). Careful consideration is given by the Foundation to the following factors:The number of counties the program will serveThe number of people who will benefitThe degree to which the applicant organization intends to work collaboratively with public or private organizationsDemonstrated ability to operate like or similar high quality, cost effective programsThe commitment and composition of the applicant organization’s Board of Directors or LeadershipThe organization’s fiscal responsibility and management qualificationsThe ability of the organization to obtain additional funding to implement the projectThe organization’s ability to provide ongoing fundingThe organization’s past grant history at the Foundation.
