CFA: Future Fund Grants

The Community Foundation of Abilene offers the Future Fund Grants to support 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Abilene that serve children and youth. Since 1985, the foundation has awarded over $100 million in grants, aiming to enhance the quality of life in the region. Eligible organizations must comply with previous grant reporting requirements and can propose innovative projects that align with the foundation's mission to uplift the community.

Future Fund Grant Cycle
Future Fund grants are available for eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that support Abilene nonprofits serving children and youth.

Eligibility

Future Fund welcomes proposals from any non-profit
organization in Abilene with an IRS tax-exempt status. To be eligible to submit a grant proposal, an organization must be in compliance with any previous grant reporting requirements or conditions

Ineligibility

As a rule, Future Fund will not make grants for:
Medical or scholarly research.Maintenance expenses.Membership fees.Ticket sales for charitable fundraising events.Church related activities unless they involve children in the entire community.Travel for groups, such as school classes, clubs or sports teams.Participation in out of town camp.Projects, programs or events that have been completed or items that have already been purchased.Capital debt reduction.Individuals.Political projects.
