Summary
The Central Dade Arts Alliance Grant, under The Miami Foundation, aims to enhance arts education for approximately 3,500 students across Central Dade neighborhoods. Launching in the 2026-2027 school year, it focuses on collaborative partnerships with local organizations to provide high-quality arts instruction, particularly in music. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits with a proven service record in Miami-Dade County, emphasizing operational capacity and measurable outcomes. This initiative builds on previous successful alliances in North and South Dade.Overview
The Miami Foundation We were established as the Dade Foundation in 1967, with our founders calling us “a living philanthropy in perpetuity.” In 1987, we were renamed Dade Community Foundation to better reflect our identity and mission. In 2010, we became The Miami Foundation, seizing on the strength of a placename that’s known across the globe. Since 1967, The Foundation has invested over $772M to strengthen our community in partnership with more than 1,000 fundholders and 50,000 donors. Central Dade Arts Alliance Building on the success of the North Dade (2020) and South Dade (2024) Alliances, Arts Access Miami is launching the Central Dade Arts Alliance in the 2026–2027 school year. This next regional alliance will serve approximately 3,500 students across neighborhoods such as Brownsville, Allapattah, Liberty City, West Little River, and Gladeview. We will partner with music and arts organizations that deliver both high-quality instruction and positive youth development in alignment with priorities of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system. Funding Priorities We will prioritize proposals that demonstrate: Local presence in Central Dade neighborhoods (Allapattah, Brownsville, Gladeview, Liberty City, Little Havana, West Little River).Strong leadership at executive and program levels. Direct, hands-on arts education for PK–12 with an emphasis on music. Programs in other disciplines (Ex: visual, literary, dance, theatre, etc) will also be considered if aligned with M-DCPS priorities. Proven impact with priority student populations. Operational capacity to implement and sustain quality programming. Collaborative approach with schools, nonprofits, and stakeholders. Evaluation & learning with clear outcomes and data use. Each organization may submit one proposal.Eligibility
