NOTE: Applications will be accepted and considered for approval on a rolling basis as long as funding is available. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is seeking high quality grant proposals from eligible applicants that support the cleanup, remediation, and enhancement of watersheds and wildlife habitat impacted by cannabis cultivation. Grants are provided through the Environmental Restoration and Protection Account pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code section 34019(f)(2)(A). This Proposal Solicitation Notice (Solicitation) focuses on planning, cleanup and remediation, and implementation only projects across multiple project types outlined herein. This Solicitation addresses priorities that will contribute to the objectives of the State of California’s Revenue and Taxation Code Section 34019(f)(2)(A) as well as CDFW’s mission to manage California’s diverse fish, wildlife, and plant resources, and the habitats upon which they depend, for their ecological values and for their use and enjoyment by the public. CDFW will award funds through the Cannabis Restoration Grant Program CRGP). All qualified eligible applicants (see Section 2.1 Eligible Applicants) are encouraged to submit grant proposals. Proposals to cleanup, remediate, and/or enhance watersheds and wildlife habitat impacted by cannabis may include the following project types: cleanup and remediation of impacts due to illicit cannabis operations on qualified public land1 and private land, decommissioning roads, upgrading road crossings, upgrading culverts, and other projects that minimize erosion and sediment delivery, increase water conservation, and/or enhance biodiversity and wildlife habitat.Eligibility
