CCKA Child Care Scholarship Program

Organization: Crawford County Kids Association (IL, US)

Purpose: Designed to help families struggling with child care costs who don't qualify for Illinois' CCAP assistance. The program keeps parents in the workforce and ensures children receive quality care.

Geographic Scope: Crawford County, Illinois

What the Program Provides:

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet ALL of the following:
• Be a resident of Illinois and live in Crawford County
• Have applied for and been denied CCAP within the last 60 days (due to income), OR submit recent pay stubs if CCAP denial isn't available
• Be seeking care from a licensed child care provider in Crawford County
• Be employed or enrolled in an eligible educational program
• Have household income between 225%–275% of Federal Poverty Guidelines
• Be nominated by your licensed provider
• Have an account in good standing with the provider

Application Windows

• Wave 1: April 1 – May 1 at 5:00 PM CST
• Wave 2: June 1 – July 1 at 5:00 PM CST
• Processing time: Approximately 30 days from deadline

Selection Criteria

• Applications reviewed based on financial need and available scholarship funds
