The CBT Arts and Culture Program provides funding for mentoring and master classes aimed at enhancing the skills of artists in the Basin. Projects must prioritize quality mentoring opportunities delivered by recognized professionals, ensuring that artists receive specialized training and support to elevate their craft.Overview
Arts & Culture Funding Programs If you have an idea that focuses on arts and culture, this program could help support it. Grants from the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance (CKCA) are available for all art disciplines, for both individuals and arts and culture organizations. CKCA is a project of the West Kootenay Regional Arts Council and funded by Columbia Basin Trust. Mentoring / Master Classes Objectives: Help groups provide quality mentoring opportunities to artists with an advanced level of training in their field. Participants in mentoring and master class programs should have specialized training in the skill being taught and are committed to devoting more time to the skill when financially possible. Specialized training is not necessarily obtained within an academic institution, and we recognize the transmission of artistic practices from knowledge keepers with lived experience.Eligibility
