Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) / Aim Higher Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000 student-based scholarship
Program Description:
The CSA/Aim Higher Scholarship is a $1,000 student-based scholarship awarded to five students in grades K-8 from families with financial need at each eligible Catholic school. The scholarship is awarded annually based upon demonstrated financial need.
- Service Area: Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis
- Eligible Schools: Designated Catholic schools in the Archdiocese
Geographic Scope
- Student must be enrolled in or have plans to apply to grades K-8 in an eligible Catholic school in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined by TADS financial aid application
- Five scholarships available per eligible school
Eligibility Requirements
- Primary Cycle: November 1, 2025 through February 27, 2026
- Summer Cycle: May 31, 2026 through August 24, 2026
- Notification: Late March for primary cycle; rolling basis during summer cycle
Application Timeline
- Families fill out only one application to be considered for all available scholarships
- CSA/Aim Higher Scholarships do not follow the student if they transfer schools
- If scholarship is declined or denied, it is awarded to the next eligible student
- Limited to five scholarships per school

1. Access TADS Portal
- Visit TADS online application platform
- Click on the TADS "Financial Aid Assessment" tab
2. Create/Login to Account
- Create a new account or login to existing account
3. Complete Online Financial Aid Application
- Fill out the 23-section online form
- Enter child's name to apply for CSA/Aim Higher Scholarship
- Receive TADS Reference Number upon submission
4. Submit Optional Letter of Special Circumstances
- Available as attachment to TADS application
- Explain changes in financial or personal circumstances
5. Upload Required Documentation
- Most recently filed federal taxes
- W2s
- Recent paystubs
6. TADS Review and Audit
- TADS audits application for accurate household need
- May request additional documentation
7. Foundation and School Review
- Application automatically received by foundation if eligible school designated
- Foundation and school review to determine aid
- Notification timeline varies by school
- Families fill out only one TADS application
- Application considered for both Aim Higher Scholarship and CSA/Aim Higher Scholarship
