Geographic Scope: Dane County, Wisconsin

Focus Areas: Youth mental health services and sustainable investments

This one-time $20,000 grant is made possible through the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous donor committed to strengthening youth mental health in Dane County. The grant is designed to support sustainable investments that enhance the quality, accessibility, and long-term effectiveness of youth mental health services.

Eligible Uses: Funding is intended for meaningful improvements such as:

• Equipment
• Technology
• Facility upgrades
• Professional training
• Program development

Investments should create lasting impact beyond a single year.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a tax-exempt public charitable organization (501(c)(3))
• Must attach IRS Determination letter
• Services must primarily benefit children and youth residing in Dane County who face special challenges (economic, developmental, physical, and/or social)
• Cannot be a private foundation per IRS classification
• Cannot be religious organizations unless services are non-doctrinal and in specified areas of interest

What They Don't Fund:

• Multi-year commitments
• Individuals
• Schools
• Endowments
• Debt retirement

Application Requirements:

• Each budget category must be specific and clear
• Must include a method for evaluating the impact of funded activities
• Submissions after deadline will not be considered

Application Process

1. Complete the Capital Times Kids Fund Impact Grant Application Form
2. Submit by the stated deadline (postmarked/emailed)
3. Include required materials:
   • Copy of IRS 501(c)(3) Determination letter
   • Organizational mission and purpose statement
   • Current annual budget information
   • Sources of support and percentages
   • Project title and amount requested
   • Two-sentence summary of project, goals, and participant numbers
   • Detailed project summary including:
   • Specific activities and experiences
   • How grant will improve youth mental health services
   • Outcomes sought and data collection methods for assessing success
   • Participant characteristics and selection process
   • Detailed budget breakdown by category
   • Other funding sources and amounts for the project
