Geographic Scope: Northwest Arkansas (Benton, Washington, Carroll, and Madison counties)

Background: Since 1993, Cancer Challenge has raised and invested over $15 million in local cancer services and programs. 100% of funds stay in Northwest Arkansas, serving over 500,000 residents.

Focus Areas

Funding supports local cancer services and programs including:

• Cancer screenings (breast, cervical, colon, prostate)
• Cancer treatment and follow-up care
• End-of-life and hospice care
• Patient navigation and support services
• Financial assistance for patients (prescriptions, gas cards, mortgage/rent, car payments, insurance, utilities)
• Counseling services
• Cancer prevention education
• Support groups and community education
• Early-detection screenings
• Wellness programs for cancer survivors and caregivers
• Wig and prosthesis services
• Library resources
