Camp Fire Fund Grant Program
Overview: After seven years of grants for Camp Fire relief and recovery, the North Valley Community Foundation is moving to an annual grant cycle. Organizations can apply for grants in the month of November for ongoing efforts to assist fire survivors.
Status: Applications are currently closed and will reopen in November 2026.
Geographic Scope: Camp Fire footprint (Butte County and surrounding areas affected by the 2018 Camp Fire)
- In the December 2025 grant cycle, NVCF awarded 23 grants totaling $154,985

Special Funding Consideration
A limited number of grants may be considered on a special basis outside the annual cycle. To inquire about funding possibilities outside of the annual November cycle, please send an email to grants@nvcf.org.- After granting more than $67 million over seven years for Camp Fire projects, the Butte Strong Fund grant program has ended
- NVCF expects to remain involved in recovery projects in the Camp Fire footprint through this Camp Fire Fund Grant Program
- The partnership originally included the North Valley Community Foundation, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., and the Aaron Rodgers NorCal Fire Recovery Fund
Program Background
- Housing: Working with community organizations to benefit displaced families
- Health & Wellness: Supporting community health and wellness following population redistribution changes
- Education: Providing support to children and schools affected by the Camp Fire
- Community Development: Supporting symbolic community places and infrastructure
- Business Recovery: Assisting businesses that were destroyed, damaged, or face uncertainty about reopening
- Direct Assistance: Providing grants to survivors through nonprofit partners and disaster case managers
