Organizations can receive funding for five years within an eight-year period, with a preference for those with unique offerings and limited government funding.

NOTE: A Letter of Interest is required for prospective agencies who are interested in an invitation to submit a full proposal for a Callison Foundation grant. If you have received a grant from the Callison Foundation in the past, you still may be asked to send one as well. Callison Foundation Grant The Callison Foundation cares for the San Francisco Bay Area community by funding small agencies whose primary focus is to support the educational success of marginalized children, provide basic services for youth at-risk, and help care for our most vulnerable adults and senior communities. What We Fund Callison Foundation provides grants up to $25,000 in the following three areas: Education: Reading, math, physical sciences, arts, learning-disability, after-school and summer programs for underprivileged children, pre-k through 12. College access and college persistence programs.Children and Youth Services: At-risk youth. Programs for children with a difficult home environment, such as foster care hardships or incarcerated parents. Crisis situations, such as child trafficking or medical emergencies.Adult and Senior Services: Services for adults of any age facing homelessness, domestic violence, or other crisis circumstances. Programs that help seniors stay in their homes or improve conditions in long-term care facilities. We occasionally support job-training programs if they show demonstrated success.

The Callison Foundation funds smaller organizations.Due to limited resources and our interest in supporting a variety of organizations over time, within any eight-year time period, an organization can only receive funding for five years.Programs operating in the counties which abut San Francisco Bay: San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, Napa, Sonoma, and Marin Counties.

Ineligibility

Callison Foundation does not fund capital campaigns.
