About the Foundation The C. Edward and Edith Strobel Charitable Trust was established by Carolus Edward Strobel and his wife, Edith McCammon Strobel, on July 3, 1968. A little over a year after signing the trust agreement, Edward and Edith were involved in a tragic two-car collision. Edward died instantly, and Edith passed away ten days later of injuries from the same accident. Edward Strobel was born in Oregon on June 4, 1897.
