Application Process

1. Complete the BVRMC Foundation Nursing Scholarship Application
2. Gather three reference reports from qualified references
3. Submit application and references by deadline

Required Materials

• Applicant Information: Name, address, phone, email, emergency contact information
• School Information: School address (if different from applicant address)
• Education Information:
- Name of college/university currently attending - Address of current institution - Contact name at institution - What year/upcoming term (Second, Third, Fourth, Advanced Degree) - Current Cumulative GPA - Previously attended college/university information (if applicable) with reason for leaving
• Essay/Personal Statement: Describe why you are pursuing a degree in Nursing and steps taken or planned to reach career goals. Include information regarding current and/or previous work experience, volunteer activities, and any unusual family or personal circumstances warranting attention from the Selection Committee
• Three Reference Reports: References must be submitted in person or by mail (email NOT accepted), postmarked or received by March 31

Submission Requirements

• Deadline: March 31 (application and references must be postmarked no later than March 31)
• Reference Reports: Three required; can be found on the website
• Submission Method: In person, mail, or attached to form

Continuation Requirements

• To receive the second $500 payment, recipient must provide evidence of acceptable academic progress by February 1, 2027 (unless prior arrangements are made)
