Course Content:

• Comprehensive introduction to Building Biology science
• Application to healthier homes and buildings
• Self-paced format
• Examines multiple health factors:
  • Air quality
  • Chemicals
  • Water and ventilation
  • Particulates
  • EMFs (electromagnetic fields)
  • Light, color, and sound
• Focus: How these factors influence human health in residential and commercial environments

Eligibility:

• Individual members of the Change the Air Foundation community
• Selection based on applicant's level of interest and potential to benefit
• Financial need not required but may be considered
• Ineligible: Directors, officers, employees, substantial donors, and other affiliates of CTA

Target Audience:

• Those interested in learning about healthy building design
• Homeowners and renters seeking to improve indoor air quality
• People wanting to understand building biology principles

Application Period: Winter 2026 (Application process now closed)

How to Apply:

1. Submit application through foundation portal
2. If selected, sign and return required waiver

Selection Criteria:

• Applicant's level of interest in the course
• Potential to be benefitted by the course as determined by Change the Air Foundation
• Evaluation based on individual's application
• Financial need may be considered but is not required

Required Materials:

• Completed application form
• Signed waiver (provided by foundation, required from all recipients)

Notification Timeline:
