Overview

BSO/Arbella School Bus Program

Overview: The Arbella Insurance Foundation BSO School Bus Program was created to help schools defray transportation costs associated with field trips to the BSO Youth Concerts.

Geographic Scope: Schools in the Boston area; any school attending BSO Youth Concerts may apply

Focus Areas:

Transportation support for field trips to BSO Youth Concerts

Educational access to live orchestra performances

Supporting school curricula expansion

Eligibility:

Any school serving grades K-12

Field trip must be to a Boston Symphony Orchestra Youth Concert

Schools may apply even after attending the performance

Award Details:

Maximum award: $300 per grant

A maximum of two grants per school district, per school year

Schools are only eligible to receive one grant per school year

Awards granted on a first-come, first-served basis

Ticket Information:

Youth Concert tickets: $10 each

One complimentary ticket for every 20 tickets purchased

10% deposit required six weeks before concert

Remainder due four weeks before concert

Free tickets: Students and teachers from Boston Public Schools can attend any Youth Concert for free (subject to availability and advance reservation)
