NOTE: The Board meets monthly to review grant requests. Please allow at least two months for review and consideration of the requests. What is BJHF The Bruce J. Heim Foundation was established in 1986 to provide financial assistance to causes that will help people, especially young people with potential for academic and/or artistic excellence. The programs supported should allow participants to enhance their skills. The Foundation is designed to provide funding that will help young people realize their potential, as Bruce Heim had been helped to realize his. The Foundation hopes that financial assistance will allow the recipients to improve, develop, and concentrate on their talents. As a beneficiary of grant funding, the Foundation hopes that recipients will be motivated at an appropriate time in their lives to emulate the help they received through their own support and involvement with philanthropic causes. Bruce J. Heim Foundation Grant The Board seeks to grant funds to organizations in a position to help people, especially young people who demonstrate potential for excellence in the area of academic interest and/or special achievement in the arts. The Foundation strives to establish communication with the people it helps in order to provide congratulations and encouragement, although this is not mandated. Each grant request is considered on an individual basis by the full Board. Evaluation criteria includes the viability of the organization, its ability to fulfill the stated goal of the project and/or scholarship being considered, and the degree of significance our funding will hold in helping the recipient to achieve success.
