Foundation History Matt S. Browning and Barbara Kimball Browning founded the Browning Kimball Foundation in 1978. The Directors are sensitive to the needs of communities, large and small, and look for mission statements that enhance living conditions for people with all levels of abilities. Foundation Mission The Browning Kimball Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Central Montana by promoting sustainable agriculture and fostering the well-being of youth and families. Foundation Policies In an effort to promote good governance and fundraising practices, the Browning Kimball Foundation may limit grants to four (4) successive years. At that time, the Board may decide to cease funding. Browning Kimball Foundation grantees are encouraged to maintain a large funding base and not become reliant on one funder.
