Overview: Opportunity for Brooklyn residents, organizations, and creators to submit content for broadcast on Brooklyn Free Speech TV (public access television channel).
Geographic Scope: Priority given to Brooklyn residents/organizations; also accepts NYC residents and out-of-state submissions
Geographic Prioritization:
1. Brooklyn residents and organizations producing their own programs
2. Brooklyn residents and organizations submitting on behalf of non-Brooklyn residents
3. NYC residents/organizations producing their own programs
4. NYC residents/organizations submitting on behalf of non-Brooklyn residents
5. Programs from outside NYC
Content Focus: All genres and subjects welcome; diverse subject matter encouraged
Technical Requirements:
Program Lengths Accepted:
Channel Organization: Programming organized into subject blocks (sports, comedy, youth, spirituality, cooking, etc.)

Submission Process
1. Prepare your content in HD format ready for broadcast
2. Create detailed logline describing your show for marketing and categorization
3. Submit application and file through online portal
4. Submit by 15th of month for scheduling the following month
Required Materials
- Content file: HD video/program file
- Technical specifications: - Format: NTSC - Frame width: 1920 x Height: 1080 - Frame rate: 29.97 fps - Pixel aspect ratio: 16:9 (1.000) - Maximum file size: 8GB
- Program details: - Descriptive logline (important for marketing and categorization) - Program length information - Contact information - Subject matter categorization
Submission Guidelines
- Rolling submissions: You may submit at any time
- Monthly deadline: 15th of each month
- Processing: Applications after 15th reviewed and aired following month
- Multiple submissions: Can submit as many shows/episodes as desired (subject to timeslot availability)
- Content readiness: Must be ready for air at time of submission
- Descriptive requirements: Be detailed in logline for better marketing and viewer targeting
Important Notes
- Programs with technical issues or rules violations may lose eligibility
- Content scheduled alongside programs in same subject category
- Timeslots assigned based on availability and subject categorization
