Through funds raised at signature events, the Breast Cancer Eradication Initiative awards annual grants to organizations providing breast cancer education, screening, diagnostics, treatment, and support services.

Grant Application Process

Step 1: Determine Eligibility
Ensure your organization meets all eligibility requirements (serves Shelby County, provides breast cancer-related services, is a nonprofit or healthcare organization in good standing)

Step 2: Submit Your Proposal
Accept both online and printed submissions. Each proposal must include:

1. A description of your proposed project(s) and goals
2. Target audience and expected number of participants
3. A project timeline and detailed outline of activities
4. Your organization's mission statement
5. A breakdown of total project cost and the amount (or percentage) requested from the Breast Cancer Eradication Initiative

Step 3: Review & Notification

• Applications are reviewed by the board's Grant Committee
• Committee may contact you to discuss your proposal further
• Recipients may be asked to host a board member visit during the year
