About the Donor Gwen Bowen started out as a promising dancer and later shared her love of dance with thousands of others in the Denver area through her Gwen Bowen School of Dance Arts. Gwen “Miss B” Bowen spent more than five decades teaching thousands of people in Denver to dance. When she wasn’t at her studio, Miss B still occupied her hours with dance. She was on the director’s board of the University of Denver’s Friends of Carson-Brierly Dance Library and taught dance as an extracurricular activity at Lincoln Elementary School. Bowen Family Performing Arts Fund Grant This fund helps low-income children learn to dance, act, and sing, with all the creativity and zest for life that comes through these opportunities.
