Boston Dancemakers Residency

Eligibility: Experienced dancemakers in the Boston area

What is Funded:

  • Three-day regional retreat

  • Six weeks of intensive studio time

  • Access to discounted rehearsal space

  • Choreographer stipend

  • Stipend for a collaborating artist in a non-dance discipline

  • Rehearsal pay for up to six dancers

  • Production support and marketing for a performance on the BCA campus

  • Opportunities for in-process showings and performances at other venues
  • Selection Process: Adjudicated by an independent panel based on:

  • Artist's video sample

  • Proposed concept

  • Potential impact on the development of the artist's career

  • Risk taken in the creative process
