  • Teachers, students, or volunteers requesting funding for school-related projects must have applications reviewed, approved, and signed by the school principal
  • Incomplete applications will automatically be denied

    Application Deadlines

    Applications are due by 5 p.m. on these dates:
  • December 1
  • February 1
  • April 1
  • June 1
  • August 1
  • October 1

The Trust board reviews applications on the second Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November.

  • The Trust reserves the right to request revised applications or gather more information
  • Applications may be tabled for future review
  • Final grant reports must be submitted within six months of receiving funding
  • Applicants are notified in writing once a decision is reached

Submission Method:

  • Required Documents:
    1. Signed and dated completed Application for Organization
    2. Completed Boone Electric Community Trust Financial Statement
    3. Copy of organization's 501(c) letter from the Internal Revenue Service
    4. Current list of Board Members with contact information (kept confidential)
    5. Appropriate bids/estimates/bills directly relating to the request (two bids required minimum)
    6. No more than six additional single-sided pages of supporting information (brochures, letters, etc.)

    Application Format Requirements:

  • Single-sided on 8.5" x 11" white paper

  • No staples, sticky notes, highlight marks, or color-coded graphics

  • Supporting materials should be included as appendix or attachment following application

  • Photos of the application or grant report are not preferred unless requested

  • If submission as PDF or Word document by email is not possible, mail hard copy to address above
  • Note:

  • It is the applicant's sole responsibility to ensure all requirements are met

  • Neither the Trust nor Boone Electric Cooperative is responsible for notifying applicants of incomplete submissions

  • Incomplete applications will automatically be denied
  • Post-Award Requirement:

  • Organizations must submit a final grant report within six months of receiving funding

  • Report must include statement of expenses for completed project with receipts and invoices paid
