Black Rock Community Benefit Fund
The community benefit fund associated with the Black Rock Wind Project was established to provide funding to community-oriented projects in the area surrounding the wind project, which is located in Mineral and Grant Counties, near Skyline, West Virginia.
The Black Rock Wind Project is a 115 MW project, more than double the generating capacity of the Pinnacle Wind Farm. Therefore, the Black Rock Community Benefit Fund's annual commitment will be more than double that of Pinnacle.
The 115 megawatt, 23-turbine Black Rock Wind Project is located on the Allegheny front near Skyline, West Virginia. The foundation, through its Community Benefit Fund, will award up to $133,000 in grants to local community organizations.
