OpenSats provides funding for innovative open-source projects that enhance the growth and resilience of the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Focus Areas:

• Layer 2 solutions (Lightning Network)
• Privacy-enhancing technologies
• Bitcoin development tools and libraries
• Payment systems and wallets
• Mining infrastructure
• Network infrastructure

Geographic Scope: International

Funding Sources: General Fund (100% of donations go to Bitcoin-related projects, not operational costs)

Background: OpenSats evaluates applications based on carefully defined criteria to select the most impactful and promising proposals for the Bitcoin ecosystem.
