Overview

Our Mission BISSELL Pet Foundation exists to support animal welfare organizations and provide resources to underserved communities. This includes helping to reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues through pet adoption, spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and crisis and disaster response. Why We Partner Partners for Pets is BISSELL Pet Foundation’s growing network of 6,025+ animal welfare organizations. This program is designed to support shelters, rescue groups and spay/neuter organizations that are working to reduce the number of homeless animals across the United States. Being an approved member of BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Partners for Pets program is a preliminary requirement for partnering with or being funded through BISSELL Pet Foundation programs. Why Join Eligibility to participate in an Empty the Shelters® event (primarily suited for organizations with a physical shelter building) to receive grant funding for adoptions Eligibility to host Fix the Future® spay/neuter clinic at your organization Be included in our emails, including any future contests or giveaways Valuable connections to our growing partner network Eligibility to receive financial support when your organization is experiencing an emergency Opportunities to participate in surveys/focus groups and network with other animal welfare organizations

How to QualifyPartners for Pets organizations must be recognized by the IRS as a 501(C)(3) nonprofit or public (local government) animal welfare organization within the 50 United States.SheltersFoster-based rescue groupsClinics with low-cost veterinary care or spay/neuter programsSpay/neuter support organizations (TNR, vouchers, etc.) You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Join Partners for Pets 6 months prior to applying for a grant. Follow all P4P requirements.

Ineligibility

While we know you are doing great things, organizations solely dedicated to the following priorities are not eligible to join the Partners for Pets network at this time:Grantmaking and financial support Fundraising Awareness and outreach Service/therapy animals (unless mission specifically focuses on rescue animals and adoptions) Sanctuaries (take in animals, but do not perform adoptions) Livestock Zoos or exotic animals
