Overview

NOTE: Pre-Proposal: This deadline represents the discussion that is needed with a Legacy Vice President. Before submitting a request for funding, discuss your proposal with a Foundation vice president. As our Foundation doesn’t have typical application deadlines, our vice presidents of program development will provide guidance and feedback regarding the appropriateness of your request, whether a grant is likely for your cause, and at what stage of your project, program, or organization funding might occur.Letter of Inquiry - Invite Only: When a Foundation vice president requests that you submit a Letter of Inquiry related to your proposed program, the Foundation will email you a link to the Letter of Inquiry through its online application system.Full Proposal - Invite Only: If the Foundation decides to invite your organization to submit a full grant application, you will receive a detailed email with a link to the application form in the Foundation’s online system. Once you submit an application, the Foundation’s review may take up to six weeks. Application deadlines vary within the Foundation’s geographical regions and each grant cycle. The actual due date for each applicant will be listed in the Foundation’s invitation to complete and submit a formal grant application. BHHS Legacy Foundation Grant Since 2001, BHHS Legacy Foundation and Legacy Connection have supported projects, programs, and organizations that improve health and quality of life for those in our community who are most in need. Our funding focuses on four key areas: increasing access to healthcare; improving community health; expanding Arizona’s healthcare workforce; and strengthening the community. What We Do BHHS Legacy Foundation is always searching for and supporting new programs that help to improve the health and healthcare of all Arizonans. To do that, we develop grantmaking strategies designed to meet very specific goals. Eligibility

To be eligible for BHHS Legacy Foundation funding, organizations must demonstrate:A community-level, health-related funding need that’s consistent with the Foundation’s mission Tax-exempt, nonprofit status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and public charity nonprofit foundation status under Section 509(a)(1) or (2) of the Internal Revenue Code, or State of Arizona or political subdivision status Active involvement within some or all of the Foundation’s community service areas. These include the central and western portions of metropolitan Phoenix and the Greater Tri-State region of western Mohave County, including Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, and Topock, AZ; Laughlin, NV; and Needles, CA.
