Beverly Arrants #MakeADifference Scholarship

Focus: Recognizes young women who have demonstrated bravery, an immense work ethic, and the determination to overcome challenges to achieve their goals, and who are eager to use their education to make a difference in their community.

Background: Beverly Arrants was a true advocate for education and its power to transform a person's life. She was an inspiration and motivation for others to overcome barriers to achieving their educational dreams. In her honor, CustomED created this scholarship fund.

• Outreach conducted to women from nontraditional career paths or who had experienced barriers to starting or completing their education

Program History: CustomED received more than 1,100 scholarship applications. The inaugural scholarship winner was awarded in May 2020.

Application Process

CustomED conducted outreach to local and national organizations to encourage applications from women from nontraditional career paths or who had experienced barriers to starting or completing their education.
