Beverly Arrants #MakeADifference Scholarship

Background: Beverly Arrants was a true advocate for education and its power to transform a person's life. She was an inspiration and motivation for others to overcome barriers to achieving their educational dreams. In her honor, CustomED created this scholarship fund.

Program History: CustomED received more than 1,100 scholarship applications. The inaugural scholarship winner was awarded in May 2020.

Application Process

CustomED conducted outreach to local and national organizations to encourage applications from women from nontraditional career paths or who had experienced barriers to starting or completing their education. This included direct outreach to schools, nonprofits, and community partners, as well as creation of marketing materials to support outreach.
