Buchanan Scholarship is designed to support and encourage students in pursuing excellence in I-O psychology, particularly those focused on the ways work and organizations impact important social issues (e.g., issues affecting lower-income workers, particularly those tied into the management of work and family roles; specific types of work-family conflict episodes and the unique coping responses that are most helpful with each).

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Each academic program may nominate no more than one student per year. If more than one student from a program wishes to apply for a scholarship, the program must perform an initial screening.Enrolled full-time and in good standing in a graduate program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a closely related field (e.g., organizational behavior) at a regionally accredited university or college.Eligibility is not limited to students in programs located in the U.S.Be a Student Member of SIOP.Have an active program of ongoing I-O research, with some research completed and continued research planned. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member.

Ineligibility

Individuals who will have defended their dissertation are not eligible.Nominees cannot have received a SIOP-sponsored scholarship within the last year.
