Berkshire Hills Fund for Excellence Grant

The Berkshire Hills Fund for Excellence (BHFE) is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for students and teachers in the Berkshire Hills Regional School District. It provides grants that cover direct project costs, prioritizing innovative proposals that rely on volunteer efforts and additional support. Applications are reviewed by a diverse board, ensuring community involvement and a focus on excellence in education.

Berkshire Hills Fund for Excellence (BHFE)
The Berkshire Hills Fund for Excellence (BHFE) is an endowed fund whose purpose is to enhance and enrich the educational experience of the students and teachers in the Berkshire Hills Regional School District (BHRSD). BHFE wants to ensure the highest level of achievement for the students and enhance their capacity to achieve excellence both in school and in the community.
Applications will be reviewed by the BHFE Board comprised of community members, parents, teachers, students, the superintendent and the school community. The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Board of Directors will review committee recommendations.
Grants from the Fund will not replace public dollars for the school district. BHFE seeks primarily to help cover the direct costs of projects (not salaries).
Funding Priorities
Priority will be given to proposals that rely on volunteer efforts and that show additional means of support.

Eligibility

WHO CAN APPLYStudents, teachers, administrators and community members for projects that sustain excellence in education in the Berkshire Hills Regional School District.

Ineligibility

Grants from the Fund will not replace public dollars for the school district. BHFE seeks primarily to help cover the direct costs of projects (not salaries). Berkshire Taconic does not support organizations which in their constitution, by-laws, or practice, discriminate against a person or group on the basis of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or religious belief.
