NOTE: First-time applicants need the Executive Director to discuss the organization’s proposal and to arrange a meeting. A site visit may be required. Our Mission The Bedford Community Health Foundation: Works to identify and address community health needs; Awards scholarships for nursing programs and allied health education; Makes grants to non-profit organizations providing direct health services; Encourages community involvement through donations and service; Serves as a community health information resource. Bedford Community Health Foundation Grant Bedford Community Health Foundation is committed to our community partners, the non-profit organizations that provide health care or health related services to residents of the Town and County of Bedford. We will continue to fund proven programs as well as fund exciting new initiatives. The Foundation is able to give back because of its community-minded donors who want to make a difference in their community. Since its inception, BCHF has awarded over 6 million in grants and scholarships to benefit Bedford residents. Over the past year, the foundation has expanded its view of health, incorporating more aspects of health, including healthy neighborhood conditions, access to healthy foods, dental health, and transportation. A broader view of health allows the foundation to better address the root causes of health disparities in Bedford, one of the healthiest communities in the state.
