Beaverton's Choice

Description: An online crowdfunding platform available exclusively to Beaverton School District (BSD) staff members. The platform charges no fees, and all funds raised go directly toward project goals.

Geographic Scope: Beaverton School District schools in Oregon

Eligibility:

  • Must be a BSD teacher or staff member

  • Must have a valid district email

  • Projects must not exceed $2,500 in requested funding

  • Cannot be for furniture or basic school supplies

  • Cannot be for field trips

  • Cannot involve bringing outside organizations or individuals to present

  • Cannot be for projects that have previously received BEF funding

    Eligibility Check: Before applying, verify that your project does NOT fall into these categories (if it does, contact beavertonschoice@beavertonedfoundation.org for guidance):

  • Previously received BEF funding for this project

  • Request for furniture or basic school supplies

  • Support for field trips

  • Project exceeding $2,500

  • Bringing outside organizations or individuals to present
  • Required Information:
    1. Applicant Information:
    - Full name (BSD teacher or staff member)
    - District email (required)
    - Phone number (school number or personal cell)

    2. Project Details:
    - Project name (engaging title visible to donors)
    - Description of request and reason (required)
    - Short description (1-2 sentences for project page)
    - Full project narrative (engaging story for donors)

    3. Alignment:
    - Select primary BEF pillar(s):
    - Investment in Core Academics
    - Hands-On Experiential Learning
    - Career-Connected Learning
    - Emergent Needs
    - Select applicable focus areas (multiple selections allowed):
    - Reading and Writing
    - STEAM

    4. School and Student Information:

    - Per BSD policy: NO identifiable photos of students
    - Use unidentifiable photos (hands, backs, covered faces) or Canva templates with stickers
    - Supporting images (optional) - jpg, gif, png, jpeg (max 5 MB each)
    - Gallery images (optional) - jpg, jpeg, gif, png (max 10 MB)

    7. Timeline:
    - Proposed start date (no sooner than 3 weeks following submission)
    - Proposed end date

    Submission: Complete form online and save/continue to submit
