Award Amount: $4,865 annual tuition scholarship

Geographic Scope: Texas

Eligibility:

Must be a member of the Texas City Management Association

Must be a public sector employee in Texas

Must be enrolled in or accepted to the Texas CPM Program

Program Details:

Provides full tuition scholarship to the Texas Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program

Sponsored by the William P. Hobby Center For Public Service at Texas State University-San Marcos

Program consists of approximately 21 days of courses covering finance, personnel, management information systems (MIS), and other topics

Classes offered periodically at Texas State University-San Marcos and various locations throughout Texas

Requires commitment of 1 to 1.5 days per month for 14 to 21 months total

Successful graduates earn the national designation of Certified Public Manager

Eligible for college credit from Texas State University-San Marcos

What is Covered:

Tuition, fees, and materials

Does NOT include travel or lodging expenses

Tuition grant is active for maximum of five years and only while recipient is a public sector employee in Texas
