Auxiliary to the AVMA Legacy Endowed Scholarship Program

Overview: In 2013, the Auxiliary transferred $2,000,000 to the AVMF to establish The Auxiliary to the AVMA Legacy Endowed Scholarship Program. Annual proceeds from the endowment support veterinary student scholarships.

Award Amount: Four $1,000 scholarships awarded to students at each participating AVMA-accredited veterinary college annually.

Geographic Scope

Open to students at:
• All AVMA-accredited veterinary colleges in the United States
• International institutions:
- Atlantic Veterinary College (Canada) - St. George's University (Caribbean) - Ross University (Caribbean) - Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (Europe) - Royal Veterinary College (Europe) - University of Glasgow (Europe)

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be citizens of the United States
• Must attend an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
• School must have an active SAVMA chapter

Focus Areas

• Supporting veterinary students pursuing DVM degrees
