Background

• Award created in 2014 as part of the #MoreThan social media campaign
• The #MoreThan campaign promotes the abundance of positive stories about athletes and athletic organizations
• Examples of recipients: Will Allen (former Pittsburgh Steelers Safety), Zamir Cobb (former Arizona Cardinal Wide Receiver, NFLPA Player Affairs and Development Director)

Recipient Examples

• Will Allen: Ohio State University alumnus, former Pittsburgh Steelers Safety; launched the Will Allen Foundation in 2008 to provide programs and resources for education, hope, and civic responsibility
• Zamir Cobb: Temple University alumnus, former Arizona Cardinal Wide Receiver; NFLPA Player Affairs and Development Director; known for promoting participatory volunteerism
