ASA Student Forum Travel Awards Grant

The ASA Student Forum Travel Awards, offered by the American Sociological Association, provide financial assistance to students attending the ASA Annual Meeting. Awards are available to ASA Student members, with selections based on participation, financial need, and distance traveled. Up to 45 awards are granted, each consisting of $250 and a waiver for registration fees, reimbursed after the event. This initiative supports students' academic and professional development in sociology.

Background
ASA members include students, faculty working in a full range of institutions, and people working in government agencies and nonprofit and private sector organizations.
Funds are available to defray the costs associated with attending the ASA Annual Meeting. Awards may go to ASA Student members only. Selection criteria is weighted by level of participation in the Annual Meeting, student financial need, availability of other forms of support, distance traveled, and potential benefit to the student.
Up to 45 awards are given, consisting of $250, plus a waiver of registration fees. These awards are granted as a form of reimbursment on-site or after the Annual Meeting and are not dispersed in advancement of attendance.

Eligibility

Applicants must be students who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in sociology (or a closely related field).
You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Applicants must be current student members of ASA.

Ineligibility

Applicants must not be registered for the Annual Meeting. Registration before your award decision is announced will result in forfeit.
