Geographic Scope: South Hampton Roads area, including Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Isle of Wight County, and Southampton County, Virginia

Focus Areas: Fine arts and cultural programming

Eligibility Requirements

• Arts and cultural groups that regularly perform or exhibit in the South Hampton Roads area
• Must be non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service
• Fine arts must be their primary mission
• Must perform or exhibit in one or more of the eligible localities: Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Isle of Wight County, or Southampton County

Program History

• In 2025, Arts Alliance awarded $660,000 to arts and cultural groups in South Hampton Roads
• Over $26 million contributed to area arts and cultural organizations since 1987

2. Instructional Video: Review the Grant Application Instructional Video available on the website for guidance
3. Submit application through the Common Grant Application portal
