Artist in Residence Program at Dix Park

Funder: Dix Park Conservancy (in partnership with Raleigh Arts and funded by the Carlyle Adams Foundation)

  • Includes: Artwork fabrication, supplies for community events, and stipend of $2,000 per month

  • Does NOT include: Housing
  • Program Details:

  • Residency hosted in the renovated Physician's House at Dix Park (originally built in 1920s)

  • Workspace located on second floor with natural light and views of Dix Park and Downtown Raleigh

  • Artists encouraged to create ecologically focused artworks that inspire community engagement

  • Program aligns with Dix Park's mission as a place that "honors the legacy of the land and brings new meaning to the landscape; bringing the community together in a place of wellness, belonging, and celebration for all"
  • Eligibility:

  • Artists or artist teams who live or work in North Carolina

  • Preference for those interested in environmental art, land art, environmental stewardship, and working with natural materials and sustainable practices
