Overview
Anthony J. Raimondi Award
Purpose: Established in 2002 by the ISPN to recognize and stimulate the publication of innovative basic or clinical studies by young neurosurgeons, honoring the spirit of one of the founding fathers of the ISPN.
Award Details: The prize consists of a travel scholarship covering 4 nights accommodation and registration fees, allowing the winning author to present their paper at the ISPN Annual Scientific Meeting.
- Membership: Candidates must be ISPN members
- Career Stage: Candidates must be neurosurgeons in training or have completed their training as neurosurgeons no more than 5 years before (to be supported by statement from training program director)
- Co-authored papers: If the paper has multiple authors, a consensus letter signed by all co-authors must acknowledge that the main contribution was made by the competing author

How to Apply
Application Process
1. Submit Paper: Papers must be submitted through the regular Child's Nervous System (CNS) online submission process
2. Notify Editor: Send a copy of the submission directly to the journal Editor, Professor Ulrich-Wilhelm Thomale at uthomle@charite.de
3. Include Documentation: Submission must be accompanied by a statement from the Director of the Training Program confirming the author's eligibility
4. Consensus Letter (if applicable): For multi-authored papers, include a consensus letter signed by all co-authors acknowledging the main contributor
- Papers must be submitted latest 3 months before the start of the Annual Meeting to allow sufficient time for review
- Winner receives confirmation latest one month before the ISPN Annual Meeting
- Selected paper will be included in the Annual Issue of Child's Nervous System
- Prize is awarded by the Scientific Committee of the ISPN
