The Columbus Foundation In 1943, during the darkness of World War II, a group of passionate citizens, led by Columbus businessman Harrison M. Sayre, envisioned a way to improve the well-being of the community and the quality of life in central Ohio. With little more than this sound idea and faith, The Columbus Foundation was established. Anonymous Scholarship for Franklin County The scholarship was created by a generous donor who is a former occupational therapist and teacher, with the goal of supporting students in financial need in the Franklin County community. Award Amount: $1,000 per year for the duration of the first degree (two years for an associate’s degree, four years for a bachelor’s degree, or five years for a degree that requires a fifth year.Eligibility
