Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers' Literature

Funder: Tulsa Library Trust

Purpose: Gives formal recognition, on behalf of the Tulsa County community, to a nationally acclaimed author who has made a significant contribution to the field of literature for young adults.

Award: $7,500 cash prize and an engraved crystal book

Related Programs

  • Mr. Henry's Books: Teacher's workshop through a grant from the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation. Teachers receive copies of the award-winning book for each student in their classroom, along with teaching guides. Teachers are entered into a drawing for the author to visit their school classroom.
  • Young People's Creative Writing Contest: Open to young writers ages 10-18. All prizes are presented at the Zarrow Award Author presentation. All prizes provided by the Tulsa Library Trust.
