Overview

Collection Study Grants Enable pre-doctoral, current/recent postdoctoral investigators and other early career research scientists to study the scientific collections at the American Museum of Natural History in in the divisions of Anthropology, Invertebrate Zoology, Physical Sciences, Paleontology, and Vertebrate Zoology. The awards partially support travel and subsistence for scientists on short term AMNH visits. Funding and Duration Projects of four days or longer are encouraged;Awards are made in partial support of travel and subsistence while visiting the Museum;Housing is limited to $100/day.Funds are available and must be used between July 1 of the application year and June 30 the following year.

Ineligibility

This program is not available to investigators within daily commuting range of the American Museum of Natural History (i.e. “Tri-State” area). Ornithology proposals only accepted by The Frank M. Chapman Memorial Fund.
