Grants & Scholarships Grants power our nonprofit partners on the frontlines of pressing local issues, filling the opportunity gaps through direct-to-people programming. Scholarships support aspiring college students who hold the promise of tomorrow’s progress. Together, our competitive grants and scholarships help our region rise thanks to the vision and generosity of our donors. The Community Foundation offers both need and merit based scholarships. Allison’s Gift: A Scholarship for Birthmothers Scholarship Eligibility Birthmothers that have placed their child for adoption Preference for a birthmother who is a resident of Florida or has placed the child/children with adoptive parents in Florida Demonstrates financial need To be used for post high school continuing education, vocational, college or university. School must be accredited, non-profit, and in the United States Scholarship may be used for tuition, room and board, books and other education-related expenses Recipient must maintain a GPA of 2.0 at the institution where the scholarship is being usedEligibility
