Alisa's Angels Scholarship

Overview: The Alisa's Angels Foundation awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional commitment to service to others and leadership in their communities.

Geographic Scope: Arizona and Colorado Springs area

Award Details:

  • Amount: $5,000 per scholarship

  • Number of Awards: Up to 8 scholarships awarded annually

  • Distribution: $2,500 available in the first year of school; remainder available in following years if student is in good standing

  • Eligible Use: Books and tuition only; funds issued directly to the school
  • Selection Criteria:

  • Primary criterion: History of service to others

  • Additional criteria: Financial need, academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities
  • Eligibility Requirements:

  • Graduating high school seniors from Arizona

  • Minimum GPA: 2.75 or higher

  • Scholarship may be used for any college, university, community college, or qualified trade school

    Application Process:
    1. Complete the online application form on the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) website
    2. Submit a 750-word essay detailing your service to others
    3. Submit an unofficial transcript covering through the 7th semester of high school
    4. Arrange for a reference to be submitted

    Reference Requirements:

  • Reference must be completed using the online reference form

  • Referrer must be a teacher, counselor, faith leader, or other individual with personal knowledge or experience with the applicant's community service
  • Required Materials:

  • Online application form

  • 750-word essay on service to others

  • Unofficial high school transcript (through 7th semester)

  • Reference from qualified individual
