How the Fund Works

• Principal remains invested indefinitely, continuing to generate earnings

Example: A $100 donation yields $5 annual earnings (at 5% return). The $5 supports ALA programs while the $100 principal continues to grow.

• ALA Girls Nation: Leadership program for aspiring young women providing firsthand experience in federal government operations, parliamentary procedure, Constitution, and legislative process
• National Veterans Creative Arts Festival: Co-presented with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
