Summary

The AISES National Conference Travel Scholarship provides financial support for full-time students in STEM fields to attend the annual conference. Overview

Funding and Logistics Scholarships will cover the costs of conference registration fees, economy class round-trip airfare, and lodging (a same-gender roommate will be assigned). Ground transportation, baggage fees, meals, parking, and incidental expenses are the grant travelers’ responsibility. Some conference meals will be provided as part of the registration. Students who are awarded a travel scholarship will travel on Tuesday, October 1, 2025, and depart on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Selection Criteria Applicants will be reviewed on the quality of their essay and explanations of why and how attending the AISES National Conference will benefit them, the letters of recommendation, the student’s involvement with AISES, and the strength of their GPA. Travel Scholarship recipients will be announced in late August/early September 2025. Travel scholarship recipients must attend all events and abide by the AISES Code of Conduct. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of all or a portion of the scholarship.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a travel scholarship, in additional to minimum requirements, individuals must meet the following criteria:Must be a full-time (12 credit hours or more) student at a two-year or four-year college or university, enrolled in a program leading to an academic degree (not a certificate) in a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) field;Must have a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA). Latest official transcripts (issued by your school registrar’s office) are required;Must commit to attending the entire conference, including travel days.Have not previously received a travel scholarship from AISES. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member.
